Nature Therapy:
Time outdoors has been shown repeatedly to improve mood and wellbeing. Therapy conducted outdoors offers natural opportunities to further increase your mindfulness through direct experience of you natural environment. This is most conveniently done through "walk-and-talk." Elizabeth Park is a half a mile walk from my office and allows us to do this in a typical session time. By appointment and as appropriate, you can schedule a walk-and-talk session from the office or a hiking therapy session at a local park.

As mentioned above, one convenient option is to take therapy outside and passively use the context to facilitate the work and increase mindfulness. Another option is to join me in specific exercises to take this one step further. Communing with nature, mindfulness exercises, as well as having a brief meditation practice outdoors are some ways to do this. This can be done as part of a Walk and Talk session or a Hiking Therapy session.
