Individual Therapy:

Individual work is dependent on goals and is highly personalized in each case. Techniques include Internal Family Systems, mindfulness building, and in-depth communication and existential-humanistic therapy.  At times, the focus can be on the therapeutic relationship itself, which can become a canvas to create new growth in your self and the ways you relate to others.  For people who want to develop their spiritual life, or use spirituality to help them through their process, I am versed in various transpersonal (spiritual) therapeutic methods. These are often grounded in consciousness studies, and/or spiritual but not (necessarily) religious traditions.

Couples Therapy and Coaching:

Committed partner relationships eventually will face hardship.  It is often the case that one or both members of a couple experience challenges with their mental health.  There is often a direct relationship between a person's internal world and their closest relationships. In couples therapy I help people to explore ways to use the relationship to ameliorate mental illness. Aside from therapy, I also provide coaching for pre-marital couples and couples looking for ways to enhance their development but experiencing symptoms of mental illness.

Family Therapy:

My approach to family therapy is highly dependent on your unique needs and strengths. This work is experiential. That is,  I tend to help people create more productive and meaningful experiences as part of the session. Sometimes I try to help individuals in the family increase their mindfulness about interactions. Often, this work is less about the content of the meetings, but more about the process and relational dynamic. We will explore patterns and what is keeping you from developing in a harmonious way.
